The project explores how by integrating skin care products with the currently available self care products can be used de-stigmatize skin care for men.
Starting the design thinking by asking some important how might we questions?
Through researching secondary and primary sources. It became evident that jade rollers are the most common skin care product used that helps in reducing puffiness, and is mainly targeted towards women.

This research also further suggests that razors are the most commonly used skin care product used by men. To understand the overlap between razors and face massagers. I conducted a survey and here are the results:
To understand why this gap exists, so I interviewed 8 people about their use of razors and jade rollers.
This research allowed me to justify why a razor and a jade roller should become modular as one product.

1. They have hand gestures which would make it an ideal combination product.

2. Based on the survey, razors are very common skin care product people purchase, by adding a jade roller head, it would be a medium to introduce additional skin care.

3. This would make skin care more accessible and de-stigmatized as folks would not feel embarrassed to purchase skin care.

Sketching
After sketching, I started prototyping using plasticine clay and grey foam. I also used 3D printing to test out different head sizes for modular fitting.
Final Design and User Experience
The feedback was supportive of my design. Users felt that the new grip is ergonomic and sits comfortably in their palms. The users tested it using different grips and the product "pear-esque" shape allowed them to do so comfortably. They appreciated the modular use of the product. The groves on the sides guided the users for the optimal position of holding the product.
These photos document the Passive Experience of the product. When the product is not being used the body is designed for stability on flat platforms. It can be kept in a pouch and the detachability of the heads makes it easier to travel with.
The Story Board
These are illustrations of the product made using Procreate.
The survey helped me guide the business and marketing aspect of the product. I conducted during initial research, the most common brand of razor used was Gillette. I created packaging and product placement based on the brand.
